Protective

So, I've been carting the new charge back and forth between his home, where I watch him, and the daycare for whom I used to work. I'm helping the old employers get their kids ready for an annual X-Mas Program this Friday. Great fun taking the young one into the old building and letting him jet around in his "race car" (plastic seat with wheels--so nice in distracting the child) while I rehearse with the kids at GB.

This is all a round-about way of saying that I'm noticing another of the universe's signs telling me I want to be a parent and that I'd be pretty good at it. I even got a little protective of the newbie youngster with a good friend and old co-worker of mine yesterday.

"How old is he?" she asked.

"A year and change," I reply.

"Does he walk yet?"

"He can stand but he's not walking yet."

(Looking into Guimo's eyes with a warm manner) "Well, he better get on it, huh?"

"He's fine. He'll walk when he's ready!" I let loose, like a protective mother hen.
"He's got great rhythm; he's gonna be a drummer!" I think I've made my point.

This stuff with kids is fun!

Those of you in Boise, who aren't in shows, come to the Great Beginnings Annual Holiday Program, this Friday night at 7 p.m. at Monroe Elementary School. It's free and fun...

Hope everyone's well!
