Ashley the Labor Stud

Hung out with a friend at the hospital while she gave birth to her son Monday night to Tuesday morning. She didn't so much as whimper. It was impressive and unnerving at the same time. I cling to my television-ingrained stereotypes of women taking hearty swings at husbands and boyfriends so tightly, I didn't know what to do with myself in the relative quiet. Mother, father, and baby are all doing well and I've slept since then. One month left in the semester and life is good.
